Philippines – July 2025. Epson has expanded its WorkForce Enterprise Series with the launch of the AM-M5500, its first-ever A3 mono mid-range model designed for organisations requiring high-speed and high-volume printing. 


The new AM-M5500 prints at 55 pages per minute (ppm), catering to businesses with demanding mono print requirements in the 31–60ppm range. Its compact design makes it a practical choice for offices with limited space while delivering consistent speed and reliability for daily document printing.

High-Speed Scanning for Maximum Productivity

Beyond impressive print speeds, the AM-M5500 features fast scanning capabilities – up to 70 images per minute (ipm) for simplex and 140 ipm for duplex scanning. It supports Optical Character Recognition (OCR), enabling the creation of searchable and editable documents with an optional OCR unit, similar to features found in the AM-C4000/C5000/C6000 series.

Enhanced User Experience and Scalable Design

The printer comes with an updated, smooth and curved design along with a large 10.1-inch tiltable LCD touch panel, providing a modern and intuitive user interface consistent across Epson’s AM-series models.

For scalability, businesses can opt for configurations such as a dual-cassette floor-standing setup or an expanded paper capacity to handle high-volume tasks efficiently. The AM-M5500 also supports multiple finishing solutions, including stapling, booklet finishing, and a space-saving inner finisher, ideal for maximising productivity in small office spaces.

Eco-Conscious Technology for Sustainable Operations

Staying true to Epson’s sustainability goals, the AM-M5500 uses Heat-Free Technology, reducing energy consumption by up to 85% compared to laser printers, thus lowering electricity costs and carbon emissions.

The device is built with 30% recycled plastic and packaged in 80% recycled paper boxes. Its eco-conscious design features minimal replacement parts and consumables, reducing waste generation. Features such as a power consumption monitoring tool and a green leaf icon displayed during duplex printing or copying encourage users to adopt energy-saving and paper-saving practices.
