LG Electronics, a valued exhibit partner, introduced an innovative viewpoint at Art Fair Philippines 2025 through its state-of-the-art TV displays. As one of the leading art events in the country, the fair pushed creative limits in its new venue at Ayala Triangle in Makati City from February 21-23, 2025. This setting provided an even more immersive environment where art and technology converged, enhancing the creative narratives of the finest Philippine contemporary art.
Beyond Displays: A Tech-Infused Art Experience
The LG OLED C4 captivated art enthusiasts with its vibrant display, while the LG StanbyME showcased interactive maps and essential event details for a smooth journey through the fair.
Central to the tour was the TLYR Collective Gallery, a group of creatives redefining contemporary art by merging technology and culture. They curate blockchain-based art and integrate digital and traditional mediums, pushing artistic boundaries. Artworks by dedMan, Ericson Calibo, James Fowler, and other visionary artists were displayed on LG’s OLED G4 and C4 screens, ensuring unmatched clarity and depth.
Their works reflect on life, merging technology with artistic expression. The fusion of reality and abstraction created a visual language exploring personal conflicts and environmental observations. The theme of construction and decay suggested fragility and transformation, imbuing each piece with profound meaning—captured in detail by LG OLED’s technology.
This year, in partnership with TLYR Collective, LG elevated the appreciation of digital and contemporary art to a new level by infusing each masterpiece with exceptional depth and vibrancy through its industry-leading OLED displays. The LG OLED C4, powered by the α9 AI Processor Gen7, has refined every detail with transformative yet lifelike precision. At the same time, AI Brightness Control adapts to the venue's ambient lighting, ensuring crisp and clear visuals. Its Brightness Booster enhances clarity with an improved Light Boosting Algorithm. With self-lit OLED 4K technology, the colors appear more affluent and vibrant, staying true to the artist’s vision.
The LG OLED G4, with a sleek One Wall Design, immerses in the gallery space, focusing on the art. Powered by the α11 AI Processor, AI Noise Reduction, and AI Super Resolution, it enhances resolution for stunning clarity. Its improved Light Boosting Algorithm and Light Control Architecture increased brightness by 150%, highlighting every detail.
More LG TVs were placed in key areas of Tower 1 and Tower 2, showcasing an interactive map and vital event information to improve the visitor experience.
LG supplied two OLED Posé units for The Talks Hall, aiding Art Fair Philippines in engaging a broader audience in contemporary art through discussions. With soft edges and a beige fabric finish, Posé blended into the space, fostering an inviting atmosphere. It elegantly framed curated visuals, enriching the experience. Its self-lit OLED technology with Brightness Booster showcased vivid colors, enhancing presentations by esteemed speakers, including Dir. Jeremy Barns from the National Museum of the Philippines, who discussed "Sustaining Heritage and Contemporary Legacies: A National Museum Perspective," and Ambeth Ocampo, who explored Fernando Zóbel’s life and work, deepening our understanding of the artist-patron’s intellectual curiosity and artistic journey.
Committed to expanding artistic engagement, Art Fair Philippines co-founders Trickie Colayco-Lopa, Lisa Ongpin-Periquet, and Geraldine “Dindin” Araneta continuously reimagine the fair, introducing fresh and innovative experiences each year. More than just a platform for contemporary art, their vision fosters meaningful connections between artists new to the scene and those with established careers. This year, the fair takes a broader scope by welcoming local artists, international artists, and galleries, creating a richer exchange of ideas and perspectives. Through thoughtful curation and dynamic collaborations, Art Fair Philippines continues to evolve, strengthening its role as a vital space for artistic dialogue and cultural appreciation.
Aligning with this vision, LG Philippines partners with Art Fair Philippines 2025 to further enrich artistic engagement and drive the evolution of art. "Seeing technology seamlessly complement artistic expression reaffirms our belief that innovation isn’t just about advancement—it’s about elevating experiences." Said Mr. Nakhyun Seong, LG Philippines Managing Director. "We at LG Philippines are
